Effect of Social class on cancer risk:

Infections tend to predispose people of lower social classes to cancer. In many countries, women of lower social classes tend to have higher rates of Uterine Cervix cancer, which is linked to a virus. Encounter with prostitutes, who may be carriers of this virus, can transmit this infection to men and subsequently to others. World wide, people in lower social classes have higher rates of infection from the organism Helicobacter- pylori, which could contribute to causation of stomach cancer.
